Kazumasa Watanabe

Prior to joining Empirix, Watanabe-san held the positions of Manager, System Engineering and Account Manager at Nortel-Japan. There he supported ATM business development and was promoted to Account Manager for New Common Carriers. He won significant new business within the ATM and high bandwidth Transmission system markets.

Prior to joining Nortel, Watanabe-san was System Engineering Manager and R&D Manager at 3Com-Japan where he also won important new business and oversaw development of a network interface card for the Japanese PC. He also worked at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he was responsible for DECnet/SNA gateway business and network related system integration. He was promoted four times in three years. Watanabe-san began his career at Nissho Electronics Corporation where he was a software engineer and developed numerous network related programs.

Watanabe holds an Engineering degree from the University of Electro-Communications.
