Chief Executive Officer
Bringing more than 25 years of industry experience to the role, John D’Anna is Chief Executive Officer of Empirix, Inc. Prior to joining the company, John served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services for JDSU’s Test & Measurement Product Group. Under John's leadership, JDSU’s Communications Test & Measurement sales organization built strategic relationships with some of the world’s largest communications service providers and equipment manufacturers. In addition, John led the company’s global services group, a multinational organization focused on delivering services in support of JDSU’s Systems & Software solutions for deployment and maintenance, product support, consulting, and educational services.
John joined JDSU in August 2005 with the acquisition of Acterna, where he was Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Services. Before joining Acterna, John was a Field Sales Representative for Hewlett-Packard’s Test & Measurement group from 1984 to 1990.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Clemente is responsible for planning and reporting on our financial strategy. He brings with him strong international finance knowledge and deep operations management experience.
Prior to joining Empirix, Clemente held multiple positions with CA Technologies. As a Senior Vice President, he led the Global Enterprise Solutions and Technology Group Finance Organization as well as the Corporate Strategic Pricing group. Prior to that, Clemente was Senior Vice President of Corporate Business Development charged with managing the Integration Management Office and directing business case creation and coordination of the due diligence process. He joined CA Technologies in February 2007 as Chief Financial Officer for the EMEA region.
Before joining CA Technologies, Clemente held an international senior financial leadership role with Sun Microsystems. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer for International Field Finance and Operations for Silicon Graphics in EMEA, APJ, and Latin America.
Chief Strategy Officer
Franco Messori is a leading authority on network protocols. His extensive experience includes building strong design teams, creating innovative test equipment, and bringing new technologies to market.
In 2009, Franco took on leadership of Mutina Technologies, providing quality assurance technologies for mobile, next-gen IPTV, and IP core networks. He grew the company until it was acquired by Empirix. During his tenure, Mutina also launched a groundbreaking handheld device for advanced, real-time testing in the field.
Prior to Mutina, Franco founded Pro.tel Srl, one of the first companies to offer VoIP monitoring solutions. It was acquired by Sunrise Telecom in 2000 and Franco served as CEO of the Sunrise Telecom Pro.tel Division for six years. He then consulted with international telecommunications companies on network architecture, security, management, and troubleshooting issues.
Before his entrepreneurial work, Franco served as managing director of Ascom Italia from 1991-1996 and became Chief Technology Officer of Tele Communication Systems (TCS) in 1981. Prior to that, he served Telecom Italia former SIP in the Data Transmission Department.
Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Matthew has 15 years of experience in the industry, having worked globally with contact centers and unified communications solutions in sales and strategic business leader roles. In his current role, he is responsible for driving Empirix testing, monitoring, and analytics solutions to market. Matthew has held other roles within Empirix, including driving Enterprise Strategy and Global Alliances and Sales in EMEA, as well as driving Empirix Testing as a Service (ETaaS) and OEM/joint offerings with leaders in communications. Matthew travels the world as a client advocate to support Empirix’s strategy to deliver a quality user experience.
Prior to joining Empirix, Matthew held a number of sales positions, the last being the Sales Leader for Financial Services at Cognos (now IBM) in the UK, the world market leader in business intelligence software used to gain a complete perspective of customer business' performance and Financial Performance Management to set targets and allocate the resources to achieve them.
Vice President of Engineering
As Vice President of Engineering, Vince is responsible for architecting and developing Empirix solutions. He brings 30 years of industry experience and a passion for building great teams and products to Empirix.
Prior to joining Empirix, Vince led multiple startup companies through hyper-growth phases, initial public offerings, and acquisitions. At Netezza and subsequently IBM (acquisition), he led engineering for more than eight years and was responsible for all product engineering, including hardware and software development.
Prior to that, Vince served as Vice President of Engineering at Concord Communication (acquired by CA). During his tenure, he was responsible for building offshore development teams, performing due diligence on several acquisitions, and expanding product offerings to cover networks, systems, and applications.
Vice President of Global Client Services and Support
As Vice President of Global Client Services and Support, Brian is responsible for global profit and loss for Professional Services, Technical Support, and Maintenance Renewals. He has a balanced passion for ensuring that Empirix focuses on generating profitable revenue, helping our clients derive maximum business value from Empirix solutions, and fostering an operating environment that enables his entire team to be successful.
Brian brings more than 25 years of experience in operational excellence and professional leadership as well as experience in mergers and acquisitions, software as a service, enterprise software, and profitable growth strategies. Prior to joining Empirix, he held several senior-level leadership roles in both private and public companies, including PSVillage, where he served as Chief Community Executive. Prior to that, he led the Enterprise Solutions group at RCM Technologies as Senior Vice President and General Manager, controlling a $45 million operating budget and leading several hundred employees across eight US-based operations offices.
Vice President of Human Resources and Recruitment
As Vice President of Human Resources and Recruitment, Jamie is responsible for the Global Human Resource function including Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Benefits Administrations, and Recruitment and Retention. She brings over 15 years of Human Resources experience, with her passion focused around organizational growth by building dynamic cultures through employee engagement and development initiatives.
Prior to joining Empirix, Jamie most recently worked at technology companies LogMeIn and Acquia, Inc. where she held the position of Director, Human Resources at both organizations. She has been responsible for all HR functions supporting small to mid-size, complex, globally dispersed employee populations with her experience centered around organizational transformations, driving large-scale growth, leadership development, and succession planning, while nurturing a positive performance driven culture.
Vice President of Marketing
As Vice President of Marketing, Bob is responsible for global marketing and product management. He brings over 25 years of industry experience in national and international marketing, product management, and leadership roles to Empirix.
Prior to joining Empirix, Bob was an Industry Analyst for Enterprise Strategy Group, where he spent eight years advising and educating vendors and end-users on market trends and technology, including software-defined networking, in the network and network management space. In his role, he worked closely with recognized industry leaders, small startups, and end-users to guide technology and go-to-market decisions.
Before that, Bob worked at CentrePath, a software and services company providing data center networking solutions. There, he led marketing and product management efforts for CentrePath's core remote management offering, cross-domain event correlation software, and professional services solutions.
