Hammer SIP Trunk Tester™
The industry's first SIP trunking service turn-up tool
Enterprises are continuing their migration to an all IP infrastructure by adopting SIP trunking as a replacement to their current legacy and expensive ISDN trunk lines for voice service. SIP trunking services offer enterprises many benefits including significant cost savings on infrastructure as well as local and long distance charges, access to new services that leverage the flexibility of SIP, simplicity of running multiple services (voice, video, and data) over the same SIP trunks, and better integration with the enterprise's other business applications.

Easy-to-use, cost effective trunking tool that verifies media quality, provisioned capacity and Quality-of-Service (QoS) metrics
In order to provide SIP trunking to enterprise customers, carriers need to easily and cost-effectively monitor and verify the provisioned capacity and establish an SLA baseline of SIP trunks. By monitoring and measuring connectivity, voice quality (VQ) and other QoS metrics, while isolating the SIP trunks from the enterprise infrastructure, the Hammer SIP Trunk Tester™ provides a faster and cost-effective turn-up for SIP trunks, improving time-to-revenue (TTR), and reducing late penalties. Designed specifically for field engineers, network pre-deployment and service installation teams, the Hammer SIP Trunk Tester is an easy to use, go/no-go platform that verifies SIP trunking service in a matter of minutes.
Assures Superior Service Quality
Hammer SIP Trunk Tester - Automated, Thorough and Flexible
The Hammer SIP Trunk Tester is a software-based test application that runs on a field or installation engineer's laptop, so it can be easily deployed to an enterprise customer's location for SIP monitoring and SIP trunk service verification. It's fully automated test environment ensures thorough testing and repeatable results that manual tests and network infrastructure metrics-based solutions cannot deliver. Hammer SIP Trunk Tester is also fully scalable and can verify a single SIP call or the provisioned bandwidth capacity for an enterprise dial plan unlike handheld VoIP test solutions. Finally, the Hammer SIP Trunk Tester can also fully emulate real world scenarios including enterprise to enterprise tests, different traffic profiles and looping different test cases in parallel. All of these automated test capabilities ensure the SIP trunks are ready for turn-up and provide a rich set of metrics including voice quality scoring to use as a baseline for SLAs with enterprises customers. As a result, post turn-up surprises and problem ownership 'discussions' are eliminated.
Accelerated Time-to-Revenue
Hammer SIP Trunk Tester - Easy to Use, Easy to Deploy
The single screen go/no-go test environment makes it incredibly easy to setup and obtain results in a matter of minutes. The user simply needs to complete the specific network parameters (e.g. IP address) for the target customer, choose the appropriate configuration and tests, and then click, "go." Tests results will then automatically appear on the screen and once the test is completed a simple one page e-report will be provided with test results and QoS metrics for each test call. If an issue does occur, the advanced call analysis feature can be utilized to collect call traces for either troubleshooting in the field or by the network Operations support group. In addition, tool deployment is as simple as loading a new software application onto your PC.
Maximize Your SIP Test Investment
- Compatible test methodology and results with the Hammer XMS network monitoring solution enables results comparison and simplified troubleshooting of SIP call or media quality problems
- Compatible with other Hammer test products, such as Hammer G5, enabling sharing of scripts, signaling projects, and test cases across many groups, including development, quality assurance, system integration, and deployment
- As SIP service offerings evolve in the future, Hammer SIP Trunk Tester will as well by providing video and other advance capabilities already developed and deployed on other Hammer test platforms
