Hammer Voice Quality Test Suite
The Hammer Voice Quality Test Suite is a software-based solution for measuring the voice quality of next generation gateways and networks. It provides extensive Quality of Experience (QoE) metrics including: voice quality scoring algorithms (PESQ (ITU P.862), PAMS, PSQM (ITU P.861), PSQM +, & MOS correlation), Voice Activity Detection measurement, echo cancellation measurement, and speech latencies. Hammer Voice Quality TS integrates with Hammer PacketSphere Network Emulator to correlate network conditions to voice quality scores, providing a complete solution for VoIP testing.
VQ Lite
For test engineers looking for an efficient and economical way to measure voice quality, offers Hammer VQ Lite - a streamlined version of the Hammer Voice Quality Test Suite. VQ Lite supports PESQ, PAMS and PSQM. It also provides the test creation and scheduling capabilities found in Hammer TestBuilder.
High Scale Voice Quality Testing Empirix offers the ability to conduct voice quality testing on an unprecedented scale through the combination of the Voice Quality Test Suite and the Hammer Voice Quality Server (VQS). VQS is a packaged software and hardware solution that provides unlimited scalability for voice quality testing of next-generation networks and components. By offloading the voice quality scoring of voice prompts to a separate platform, Hammer VQS provides scoring metrics for multiple DS3s worth of channels while maintaining performance of Hammer test systems. In addition, it can be used as a sharable lab resource to support voice quality scoring on any VoIP-enabled Hammer test system. Combined with the Hammer MegaController, Hammer VQS can be used to support multiple Hammer systems simultaneously for additional flexibility and scalability.
Applications
Gateway Isolation: IP to TDM Voice Quality Combining the Hammer Voice Quality Test Suite with the Real Streamer provides the unique ability to isolate a next-generation gateway and measure voice quality for calls originating on the IP side and terminating on the TDM side. This is a critical step to characterizing the quality of any gateway.
Calls are originated on the IP side of the gateway using the Real Streamer to generate RTP streams containing real media and the associated IP signaling (SIP). These calls are then terminated on the TDM side on the Hammer. The Hammer Voice Quality Test Suite records the voice prompts that are transmitted from Real Streamer and scores them for voice quality using a choice of industry standard scoring algorithms.
End-to-End Voice Quality with Network Impairment The integration of Hammer PacketSphere Network Emulator with Hammer Voice Quality Test Suite adds a new dimension to voice quality testing that is unparalleled in the industry: the ability the measure voice quality across your next generation device in the presence of real world network conditions (including loss, jitter and latency).
High Scale Voice Quality Testing Hammer Voice Quality Test Suite is the only solution that supports voice quality testing at the multi-DS3 level (in excess of 672 channels). This level of scalability is achieved through Hammer Voice Quality Server - a packaged software and hardware solution that provides unlimited scalability for voice quality testing of next-generation networks and components. By offloading the voice quality scoring of voice prompts to a separate platform, Hammer Voice Quality Test Suite provides scoring metrics for multiple DS3s worth of channels while maintaining performance of the Hammer test systems. In addition, it can be used as a sharable lab resource to support voice quality scoring on any Hammer test system running Hammer Voice Quality Test Suite.
