Seth J. Boro
Seth joined Thoma Bravo after receiving an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He previously was part of the investment team at Summit Partners, where he was involved in private equity investments in the technology and business services sectors. Seth also worked as an analyst with investment bank Credit Suisse in Toronto. He became a partner at Thoma Bravo in 2010 and a Managing Partner in 2013. Seth has been featured in Mergers & Acquisitions Magazine as one of the “Rising Stars” of private equity and was named by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the region’s “40 Under 40,” which annually recognizes “the forty young business leaders Building the Bay Area’s Future by making significant contributions to their industries, their companies and/or their communities.” Seth earned an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University School of Business, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Robert (Tre) Sayle
Tre joined Thoma Bravo as an Associate from JPMorgan’s Investment Banking Division in New York, where he was a member of the Technology, Media & Telecom Group involved in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and capital markets financings. He was subsequently promoted at Thoma Bravo to Vice President and Principal. He became a Partner at Thoma Bravo in 2013. Robert has a BA degree in Economics, with a concentration in Psychology, from Harvard University.
Mike joined Thoma Bravo as a Vice President in 2014 with previous experience as a private equity associate with Providence Equity Partners, where he originated and evaluated private equity investment opportunities. Prior to Providence Equity, Mike was an investment banking analyst with Citigroup Global Markets Inc. in New York in the media and telecommunications group, where he was involved in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and capital markets financings. He was promoted to Principal at Thoma Bravo in 2018. Mike has an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an AB degree in Economics from Harvard University.
Marcel has more than 40 years of business operating experience, primarily with companies in the technology industry. Most recently, he was Corporate Vice President, Operations of Geac Computer Corporation, a performance management software company, where he was responsible for the management and overall performance of several business units located in North America, Europe and the United Kingdom, representing $250 million in revenues. Previously, Marcel was Senior Vice President, Ontario Division, of St. Lawrence Cement, where he was responsible for the management of all Ontario business units, representing over $400 million in revenues. Marcel was also President and CEO of SaskTel, Saskatchewan’s largest phone company with $600 million in revenues and over 4,200 employees. Marcel also held various positions with Motorola Corporation, most notably as President of Motorola Canada. He has been on the board of directors, in some cases serving as Chairman, of many of Thoma Bravo’s Software portfolio companies.
Paul has over 25 years of experience in the global technology industry. His prior experience includes service as founding CEO of Dilithium Networks, a provider of mobile video infrastructure solutions acquired by OnMobile; co-founder and CEO of Bluegum Group, an Asia-Pacific based electronics manufacturing services provider acquired by Solectron; senior positions at Ready Systems, a developer of software environments for microprocessor-based embedded systems acquired by Mentor Graphics; and management consultant with Bain & Company, where he was a strategy consultant for Fortune 500 technology companies as well as a founding team member of the private equity group (Bain Capital). Paul has an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and BA degrees in International Relations and Economics from Stanford University.
David is a seasoned executive with over 25 years in the software business. From 2002 until 2011, he served as President and CEO of Numara Software, Inc. (formerly Blue Ocean Software), where he led the company to significant growth through product and market expansion. Prior to Numara, David served as vice president of worldwide marketing for Citrix Systems, Inc. during its rapid expansion from a small, private company to a global leader in remote access software solutions; was part of the founding team of a VC-funded software company in the late 1990s; and spent seven years at Lotus and five years at IBM in various sales, marketing and technical positions. Dave has BS degrees in Computer Science and Economics from Duke University.
