Hammer Go

Self-paced (2 hours)

This course will instruct end users to fully leverage the self-service interface for the Hammer Cloud Platform applications including Hammer On-Demand QA, Hammer On-Demand Performance and VoiceWatch

Users will be guided through the intuitive interface and able to quickly and easily create and run their own simple linear scripts.

VoiceWatch

Self-paced (1.5 hours)

The VoiceWatch user training provides an introduction to the VoiceWatch hosted service and the tests developed against the customer environment.

This training will provide an overview of the solution, how to configure tests and test schedules, notifications, reporting, setup, and user configuration. At the end of the training, the user will have a working knowledge of VoiceWatch and how to use it within their own environment.

Hammer On-Demand

Self-paced (2 hours)

The Hammer On-Demand QA user training provides an introduction to the Hammer On-Demand QA hosted service and the tests designed for the customer environment.

This training will provide a solution overview on how to use Empirix’s auto-regression testing browser interface to upload, create and access scripts and run tests. In addition, the training will cover the configuration of the web-based testing application and review input and output data via the web browser. At the end of the training, the user will have the knowledge necessary to perform QA testing with Hammer On-Demand QA.

OneSight monitors and manages the health of your business by providing you with a comprehensive, flexible view of your mission-critical components. Administration is essential for the efficient and reliable functioning of the OneSight Solution.

This course provides the foundation for the administration of OneSight including the overview page, monitors, profiles, alerts, data collection and reporting.

Hands-on training teaches administrators the tasks that are needed to properly maintain OneSight and ensure that the system applications are well managed for the OneSight user community

CallMaster

In person/online (4 days)

This course presents the foundation for the tasks associated with administering your CallMaster solution. It covers the theory and step-by-step instruction with associated exercises and summaries.

Hands-on training allows students to understand the different tasks needed to maintain CallMaster, and therefore maintain a well managed solution.


Diagnostix training

Diagnostix User Training

In person (1 day), online (2 half days), self-paced (3.5 hours)

This hands-on training provides end users with an overview of the Diagnostix platform and in-depth instruction on how to use it within their own environment. Upon completion of this course, students will have a working knowledge of the platform and know how to reduce mean time to repair across their network.

Prerequisites: None, although an understanding of mobile and/or fixed network performance assurance is beneficial.

Diagnostix Administration Training

Self-paced (2 hours)

System administration is essential for the efficient and reliable performance of any application. This hands-on course is designed to teach system administrators how to set up and maintain Empirix Diagnostix. With knowledge about administration, user management and customizing the solution, administrators will build the foundation upon which end users can successfully and efficiently monitor the underlying network.

Prerequisites: None, although an understanding of mobile and/or fixed network performance assurance is beneficial.

System Monitoring with Diagnostix

In person (1 day), online (2 half days)

Monitoring the system is critical for ongoing visibility into system status and for identifying possible problems in your environment. The Explorer tools define key performance indicators (KPIs) and then evaluate the behavior and health of Empirix servers and functions. They can quickly show when a resource is operating within normal ranges and when resources have problems that require attention.

This course provides an in-depth explanation of the different resources used by Empirix, how to effectively monitor the system, its different components and how to understand the different metrics and KPIs used to identify possible faults.

Prerequisites: An understanding of the Diagnostix platform architecture.

Diagnostix Operational Reports (DOR) User Training

In person (1 day), online (2 half days), self-paced (.5 hours)

Diagnostix Operational Reports (DOR) is a set of standard, out-of-the-box perspectives, metrics and reports that enable Diagnostix end users to drill into and analyze important network performance indicators and trends.

Upon completion of this hands-on training, students will have a working knowledge of DOR functionality and how to apply it within their own environment.

Prerequisites: None, although an understanding of mobile and/or fixed network performance assurance is beneficial.

Diagnostix FastTrack

Online (15 hours)

This online, instructor-led training is designed to help new Diagnostix users become familiar with platform functionality and proficient at applying that functionality within their own environment. Compressed into 5-half days of remote training, students will learn system administration best practices, receive end user training and perform a deep dive into how to perform system monitoring with Diagnostix.


IntelliSight training

IntelliSight Training

IntelliSight User Training

In person (1 day), online (2 half days), self-paced (2.5 hours)

This hands-on course introduces end users to the IntelliSight application and how to use it within the context of their own networks. Upon completion, students will have the knowledge they need to proactively identify issues and reduce mean time to repair network and services issues. Students will also gain a working knowledge of the reporting functionality including how to identify performance trends.

Prerequisites: None, although an understanding of mobile and/or fixed network operations is beneficial.

IntelliSight Administration Training

In person (1 day), online (2 half days)

System administration is essential for the efficient and reliable performance of any application. This hands-on course is designed to teach system administrators how to set up and maintain Empirix IntelliSight. With knowledge about administration, user management and basic troubleshooting, administrators will build the foundation upon which end users can successfully and efficiently monitor the underlying network.

Prerequisites: None, although an understanding of mobile and/or fixed network performance assurance is beneficial.

IntelliSight Advanced User Reports

In person (1 day), online (2 half days)

This course teaches students how to harness the power of Visual Insights, a powerful self-service BI tool, to create standard and ad hoc reports simply by copying and pasting.

Prerequisites: None, although an understanding of IntelliSight analytics and reporting would be beneficial.

IntelliSight FastTrack

Online (2 days)

This online, instructor-led training is designed to help new IntelliSight users become familiar with its functionality and proficient at applying that functionality within their own environment. Over the course of one week, students will learn system administration best practices and receive end user training on critical topics such as how to build advanced user reports.


E-XMS training

In person (1 day), online (2 half days), self-paced (7 hours)

This hands-on training provides end users with an overview of the E-XMS platform and in-depth instruction on how to use it within their own environment. Upon completion of this course, students will have a working knowledge of the platform and know how to reduce mean time to repair across their network.

Driven by use cases tailored to the customer’s environment, the training enables the user to use the solution in relation to their monitored network environment and provides the user with the knowledge necessary to use the E-XMS applications in their day-to-day role.

The training enables users to derive immediate value from the E-XMS solution and deliver a return on investment by reducing time to resolution.

LTE System Engineering

In person (2 days), online (4 half days)

With LTE now the cornerstone of global 4G services, this course provides an end to end view of a typical LTE deployment. As such, the architecture required for LTE, including the air interface and all of the key interfaces and protocols, is examined.

The course then takes a “day in the life” approach to the LTE handset, detailing all of the typical activity an LTE handset undertakes as it interacts with the network; procedures such as initial attach, bearer establishment, mobility and interworking are all considered. In conclusion, the course focuses on voice services, with emphasis on both CSFB and VoLTE.

IMC & PCC System Engineering

With the advent of technologies such as LTE, next generation services and charging are now being controlled by IMS and PCC functions; a critical element in a service provider’s requirement to support seamless and rich multimedia services. For those needing to gain an understanding of this service overlay, this course provides a comprehensive technical explanation of how this is achieved. Furthermore, the course also incorporates real signaling analysis using a virtual network analyzer — NetX.

5G Technologies Overview

In person (2 days), online (4 half days)

This course provides a broad overview about 5G technologies and services. It explores the evolution of the 5G network elements toward virtualized, software-based platforms, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Internet of Things (IoT), Software Defined Radio and Cloud RAN solutions. It examines also how 5G networks manage cloud oriented services and how it configures itself according with the user terminal capabilities.

5G Core Network

In person (2 days), online (4 half days)

Acquiring the knowledge in order to deploy, manage and develop the next generation NFV Core Networks for 5G services. The new virtualization technology is analyzed from the Network Function Virtualization point of view, which is one of the required points necessary to build a 5G TOC architecture. The new core network architecture and interfaces are discussed with orchestrator solutions, considering also advanced techniques such as layer 2 tunneling for virtual core scaling.

5G Core Network

Acquiring the knowledge in order to deploy, manage and develop the next generation Radio Access Network (RAN) for 5G services. New drivers for 5G access network are analyzed: the user centric cell model, the triangle of device categories, network slicing and datacenter edge computing concepts. Transitioning from cloud RAN to next-gen cloud RAN is discussed, considering the new trials about NGRAN and new enabler technologies such as Massive MIMO, Windowed OFDM, 5G.

5G KPI and Monitoring Governance

Acquiring the knowledge in order to deploy, manage and develop KPI governance and monitoring 5G services. New recommendations for 5G KPIs are analyzed: use cases, latency measurements in user plane and control plane, mobile broadband KPIs, narrowband IoT KPIs and paging aspects. End user and test case KPIs are discussed, such as Cloud services, high speed train, V2X and massive sensors. Finally logs and alarm collection in 5G NFV environment are explained.

Understand the IoT environment for business applications and critical aspects of IoT engineering such as electronics, firmware, middleware, cloud, analytics and mobile. For each of these engineering layers, the course examines aspects of economics, standards, regulations and technology evolution.

IoT Wide Area Network Evolution

In person (2 days), online (4 half days)

Design, plan, manage and monitor IoT WAN networks, according to the radio access technology development. The course explores data networks, connection types, layer models and analyzes IoT protocols and standards. Then it evaluates different infrastructure components and network systems and describes how to design basic network IoT environments. Finally radio and fixed technologies that best fit the IoT transmission and coverage needs are discussed.
